Carya is one of the most distinctive courses in Belek. Instead of the usual lush parkland, it was built on a sandy site to play like an inland heathland course, which makes it a favourite with UK golfers.
The course
The course was designed by the Thomson Perrett firm, with Tim Lobb leading the work. Holes wind through tall pine and eucalyptus trees, with large, deep bunkers, plenty of undulation and quick greens. It hosted the Turkish Open three times, from 2016 to 2018.
Carya is also floodlit, so evening rounds are possible. It sits next to the Regnum Carya resort, which also owns the neighbouring National Golf Club.
Tips for your round
- Pick your tee carefully: the bunkers punish a wayward drive.
- Fancy a round under the lights? Ask the club about evening tee times.
- Staying at Regnum Carya? Carya and National are your home courses, so you won't need a transfer for them.
